My American Accent Is

I ran across a "What American Accent Do You Have?" quiz and it determined my American accent is:

Midland

("Midland" is not necessarily the same thing as "Midwest") The default, lowest-common-denominator American accent that newscasters try to imitate. Since it's a neutral accent, just because you have a Midland accent doesn't mean you're from the Midland.

Personality Test Results

What American accent do you have? (Best version so far) Brought to you by YouThink.com quizzes and personality tests.

Having my accent identified as Midland is not too surprising since I lived the first and last 12 years of my life in Missouri and have lived in New Mexico and New Jersey. Plus 4 years of college in southern California.
