World Population Growth
Check out this interactive map from BBC News. It shows how the number of people living in urban areas has grown from 1955 to now and shows projections for 2015. It's interesting to see where the really big cities (population more than 5 million) are. It also illustrates what a small portion of the world population is in North America.
